Wi-MAX in Bangladesh

Wi-MAX means 'Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access' . Bangladesh has started or trying to devolop their telecommunication system day by day . As a part of this BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commissio) decided to give licence for Wi-MAX . A tender was called for that in a short time . Most amazing thing is, they worked really fast for this project, as a result the whole licencing process take few days .

BTRC gave licence to 3 operator named :
1)Brack bd mail network ltd
2)Bangla lion
3)Aguri wireless
These operators get their licence for 15 year and they had to pay 2150000000 Bdt .

Bangladeshi mobile : CITYCELL internet ZOOM

One of the mobile operator in Bangladesh is CITYCELL . They are the only one CDMA network service provider in Bangladesh .

CITYCELL has started their INTERNET service that is more capable than others . At the 1st , CITYCELL charged users for disc space usage . Like :
.02 bdt/tk for 1kb ,
300bdt/tk for 100 mb ,
450 bdt/tk for 300 mb ,
600 bdt/tk for 500 mb ,
1000 bdt/tk for 1gb ,
1500 bdt/tk for 3gb .

But now they have introduced their new INTERNET connection plan . From now customers will be able to surf INTERNET without any space limitation . They will be charged for their surfing time on 1sec pulse rate .
Their surfing time units are like :
* 10.00 am - 09.00 pm = 0.75/min
* 09.00 pm - 12 am = 0.50/min
* 12. 00 am - 10.00 am = 0.25/min

Bangla E-book concept is a new idea over the year . Though in Calcutta , we find that they are doing great to make their E-book archive . But in Bangladesh , it is on primary step . Most of the PDF E-book are not font based . Almost all of them are scan based . So you will not get the best of E-book there
We find that many Bangladeshi sites has been launched but none of them are not interested on E-book .

Yahoo mail vs gmail

The most known email service provider on this time ; GMAIL from google and YAHOO! mail from yahoo are competing each other very hard . The most common question is which is the best ?
gmail.com , is the link for GMAIL and mail.yahoo.com is for YAHOO! mail . Among them GMAIL needs lots of bandwidth to load . It gives a lots of space to store mails . YAHOO! has unlimited space for mail storage .
On their wap version , there are another great fight . YAHOO's wap link m.yahoo.com is very small . Almost any gprs mobile can access their wap site . But main problem is , Yahoo wap is great for checking mail but makes problem when you are sending mail . But GMAIL's wap m.gmail.com is little bit big than YAHOO! but works fine for both sending and reading mail .
besides , GMAIL mobile jar softwere works very smart and little in size than YAHOO's mobile jar YAHOO!GO .

The first gprs service provider that really succeded to have a great amount of customer was GRAMEEN PHONE . Though 'aktel' was first service provider , but they was not able to provide this service widely . It was only for postpaid customer . Now grameen is serving their edge/gprs for both postpaid or prepaid customer . They cost 1000 tk for monthly unlimited browse for both prepaid and postpaid .
